Beyond creating a captivating animation, the sequence needed to establish the series’ tone and atmosphere while sparking curiosity in viewers.

The sequence was designed to resonate with younger audiences by addressing themes of ecology and technology. Set in a toxic industrial world, it introduces a solarpunk vision. A realistic yet hopeful future where nature and technology coexist. By reflecting on over-industrialization and sustainable solutions, the project connects with contemporary concerns while setting a positive, forward-looking tone.
The sequence adopts a cel-shaded, non-photorealistic style to ensure clarity and a strong visual identity. Inspired by video games and animation, it blends 3D environments with 2D vector interfaces (Illustrator → Blender SVGs) to strengthen the link between storytelling and technology. The art direction contrasts warm, natural tones inside the domes with a desaturated, arid world outside (underscoring the core theme of balance between preservation and survival).
