The Brief

This personal 3D project was designed as a visual study of light, texture, and organic detail within a minimal, architectural setting. The objective was to build a small, contemplative environment that explores the balance between structure and nature, using a stylized yet realistic approach. The scene needed to feel warm, quiet, and immersive — with particular attention paid to natural lighting, material softness, and the integration of procedural vegetation. The overall direction focused on conveying a refined aesthetic through restrained composition, clean modeling, and intentional use of shadow and space.

The Solution

The final scene features a Mediterranean-inspired architectural corner, framed by arched windows, light-toned walls, and a simple table setting, placed beneath a pergola wrapped in vegetation. To bring the plants to life, I used Blender’s hair particle system, allowing for natural distribution and movement of vines and flowers. Materials were selected and adjusted to express softness and tactile realism — from the woven surface of the carpet to the fabric folds on the tablecloth. The lighting setup was built around a single directional source to create natural sun shadows, enhanced by soft bounce lighting to preserve a sense of atmosphere. The scene highlights a quiet moment, built around the balance between light, nature, and architecture.
